Exceptional

location and transport are great

The coffee machine broke, but at least a different coffee was provided. The breakfast and lunch service was too close, and the staff ushered you away and took the food away as early as 9.30-9.45 a.m. Breakfast was scheduled to finish at 10. The eggs were watery and cold. Breakfast wasn't worth the money paid.

Wonderful

Good location, walking distance to the metro. Very nice staff. Clean room. I had to leave in early morning, so didn’t try the breakfast.

It would be more convenient for the guests if there’s a pair of slippers.

Awesome stay. I'd go back for sure.

I canceled my first stay and asked if I could use it for another night and it seemed impossible. Nevertheless, the hotel is great.

Nice place to stay a few nights when visiting Otaniemi

The staff was very nice. There is free coffee and other drinks in the lobby. Everything was very clean and the bed was comfy. The system they have on the TV was awesome, I could stream youtube videos easily to it and set an alarm that woke me up gracefully.

No fridge in the rooms. Maintenance was a bit lacking for non essential things.

Clean and comfortable.

Self check-in was easy to use, and there was a staff member to help you if needed. The room and bathroom were clean. The bed has two kinds of pillows, and I slept so good - woke up in the position that I fell asleep. The breakfast has nice variety of food for Finnish taste.

What was the highlight of Heymo 1 by Sokos Hotels

For a short stay in Helsinki or Espoo simply outstanding :)

Everything was great really. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the metro station, from which you can reach Helsinki center in about 10 minutes. It's also very close to the Aalto University campus and other companies/institutes, which was very convenient for me as I had a work visit scheduled there one of the days. The room was incredibly clean, modern, and very comfy, as was the toilet. The WiFi and TV worked very smoothly and we could easily connect our phones to play music or watch Netflix. Toiletries and other accessories were also available. The 24h free coffee and tea, and clothes iron/steaming (self-)services were a plus. We had the breakfast buffet by the adjacent restaurant and they had a good selection of cold cuts, breads, vegetables, jams, eggs, and of course Finnish-style porridge with berries. Also, the place was very quiet and the atmosphere in general very relaxing, I can definitely recommend :)

The only thing I would improve is maybe having a small cabinet or storage place for clothes for slightly longer stays. Right now there are a few hangers and a small luggage rack which are perfect for a short stay like mine, but a small cabinet with drawers could be a nice addition.

Wonderful

The rooms are well-equipped and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. Very good value for money. Not a lot going on by the hotel in terms of shops and restaurants, but only a short metro ride to the center. This may be an issue for some but wasn't for me.

Modern hotel near Keilaniemi metro station with good price-quality ratio

Very good price-quality ratio. Greater Helsinki area is not the cheapest place to stay and I am happy I found this option in near Keilaniemi metro station with ok price. Hotel was actually nicer than I thought, very modern and nice kitchen were you can use fridge, get free coffee and prep you breakfast or microwave dinner / lunch. Nice staff and dog friendliness is always plus!
